Our Mission

We are dedicated to restoring the natural beauty of an undeveloped plot of land (see the "Anwatin Woods" section of this website) in Area 7 of the Bryn Mawr neighborhood in Minneapolis, preserving it as an Environmental Learning Center for the benefit of generations to come. This land will form a gateway between Wirth Park and Chestnut Park. An essential component of this effort is to try to ameliorate past, present and future water problems that impact residential homes and businesses. FBPW also would like to remediate the tons of exposed asphalt and concrete on the Vincent site, safeguarding the groundwater and surface runoff which drain directly to nearby Bassett Creek (less than two blocks away).
